Well of course the other 51 weeks aren’t bad either. There’s always your birthday or a holiday after all, you can look forward to family get-togethers and the UEFA cup. But this one particular week… It’s special. At least I think so. Exactly, must put it into my diary right away. Now, where’s my 2008 diary? Bother, where have I put it this time ... kultur macht mensch!

only a few days ago this poster campaign was started in graz - so you might have already noticed the billboard!
styrian artists, organizers, associations, and art houses got together and want to draw attention to the awkward financial situation for culture and art in styria/austria.

in general a good idea, it just makes me suspicious if the big houses like "grazer oper", "list halle", "la strada" are taking part in these campaigns - because they definitly already get a lot of fundings.

donaufestival - krems

here you can find one of the most amazing festivals in austria:
the 'donaufestival' in krems.......
it started rather small, was constantly growing the last years and probably found its peak two years ago with festival day curated by mike patten (former singer of faith no more).
but the festival is not only about amazing music its about art and all its spectacular, breathtaking versions of contemporary performance, theater, music etc.
i guess this festival is transforming this small, beautiful city of krems in to a magical, shine space - where everything seems possible - at least for the moment.
if you are open for new things, give it a try!!! you'll be fascinated!!!
